Aquarium and park day
We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium which was very cool. We could have stayed for the whole day because there was so much to see, but we only went for the morning. That was probably a good thing after all because it was starting to get VERY busy by the time we left and big crowds are so annoying. Espen really liked the touch tank (sea stars, sea urchins, crabs, etc.), jelly fish, and sea horses.
After the aquarium, we went to the Dennis the Menace Park (created by the author/ illustrator of the comic strip). A seagull flew away with a baggie full of sandwiches and took it up onto a roof to eat it. Rude bird!!
(What's crazy, is that the day before that we went golfing and a sea gull flew away with Brian Gustavson's sandwich. It was his birthday too. Poor guy! The kids went to Gilroy Gardens (an amusement park for little kids) with the people who didn't golf. I'll try to get some pictures of that from the people who went.)
